From May 10 to June 18, 2026, Anhui Byter Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. assembled a special team consisting of staff from the Overseas Development, Sales and Marketing Departments for a nearly 40-day in-depth market inspection across four West African countries: Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. The team conducted field research on local agricultural industry conditions, engaged with channel distributors, field farmers and agricultural authorities, and comprehensively optimized the full chain covering product launch, technical services and market coordination.
The inspection itinerary covered diverse sites including agrochemical retail stores, warehouses of major distributors, large-scale fruit and vegetable plantations, as well as production zones of cash crops such as cocoa, banana and cotton. Venturing deep into farmlands, the team held face-to-face exchanges with local farmers and large growers. They inspected the growth of staple crops including tomatoes, mangoes, cotton and cocoa on site, accurately identified key difficulties in preventing and controlling prevalent local pests and diseases, delivered targeted guidance on application schemes of Byter’s full range of herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, and demonstrated scientific pesticide application techniques to resolve core planting challenges for farmers.

To address bottlenecks in West Africa’s agrochemical circulation chain, the team visited regional retail outlets one by one, sorted out operational hurdles for terminal merchants on the spot, and rolled out supporting services including product technical guidance, store promotional materials and farmer training. The team also held in-depth talks with leading regional agrochemical distributors, negotiated core sales pain points such as market promotion, inventory allocation, channel profit margins and after-sales technical support, and finalized multiple measures to deepen cooperation, further consolidating Byter’s distribution network across West Africa.
In addition, the delegation proactively liaised with national agricultural authorities, cocoa associations, cotton associations and other industry organizations of each country. They conducted thorough research on local agricultural support policies, industrial planning for cash crops and pesticide access regulatory requirements, fully grasped government demands for agricultural development, and put forward localized agrochemical supporting solutions to address weak links in the planting industry, building a regular communication bridge between the enterprise and local agricultural regulators.

This West African tour enabled Byter to gain a thorough understanding of genuine market demands in West Africa and consolidate the foundation of its overseas channel layout. Moving forward, the company will keep optimizing its agrochemical product portfolio tailored to local West African crops and establish a regular on-site agricultural technical service system. With high-quality plant protection products and professional agricultural services to boost yield and income for West African agriculture, Byter, a Chinese agrochemical enterprise, will continuously contribute its expertise to the modernization of agriculture in West Africa.
